Quality Nets

Quality Net Materials & Craftmanship

I have my own sawmill and since I mill all of the lumber I get the first pick of all the wood that comes thru the yard. Having this luxury presents me with endless options for the best pieces of wood. I look for strong tight grain. Wood that lays flat when milled which indicates the cell structure is uniform thru-out the piece and will hold its shape and integrity thru the drying process. I look for Character in the grain, things that might make a piece stand out just a little more than another net, something to make it yours. I look for things that make one go Hmmmm.

I air dry all of my lumber. This process takes one to 3 years. It is all air dried indoors in my shop, protected from the elements where I can keep an eye on the process.

Once the wood is completely dried, well actually under 8% moisture content, I proceed with cutting it down to the rough sizes I need for net making.

At all times and thru-out every step of the way I personally have 100% control over all of the wood, materials, and craftsmanship that goes into each and every net, yes even yours. The reason for this is that I personally make every single net from Start to finish.
